Tuesday, 31 July 2012 / GMJ – Muslim groups throughout the Middle East have denounced the recent Zionist attacks against al-Aqsa Mosque and urged immediate action to protect the holy site.
The Jordanian Islamic party asked Arab and Muslim governments to “condemn the recent attacks and to act to stop them,” pointing out that “the attacks violate the international laws and conventions.” It also called on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and human rights organizations “to intervene to stop the recent serious assaults.” Read more
Hezbollah denounced the storming of al-Aqsa and released a statement that warned “this is not the first crime that targets the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, and won’t be the last if the Muslims will go on with their silence and ignoring to the dangers the holy mosque has been facing,” adding that the holy mosque has been under the danger of judaization or collapse. The International Quds Institution has called on the Palestinian citizens, residing in occupied Jerusalem and the territories occupied in 1948, to strengthen their presence in al-Aqsa Mosque in an attempt to prevent the settlers and the Jewish extremists from reaching the mosque and from carrying out more raids. Meanwhile, according to the Jordan News Agency, on Monday a group of Jewish settlers broke into al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli soldiers and extremist Jews are threatening to storm the mosque compound on a daily basis, calling on their members and supporters to participate in the assault and perform their Talmudic prayers and rituals.
